Mold???
Thank you for doing this! Excellent! I wish I saw this 13 years ago! I had bought a 1915 craftsman style home that was old knob n tube, galvanized pipes, clay sewer pipe etc… I wish I knew what I now know… it’s always easier and more cost effective to spend the money for these upgrades at the start before occupying the property!!! I’ve upgraded these “systems” by trying to do them bit by bit with inflated construction pricing…. LESSON: It never gets LESS expensive down the road… I now consider updated reconstruction in the same category as “insurance” because insurance companies now require these current upgrades before underwriting a policy!!!
My home was built in 1885. I am in the midst of fixing plumbing, roofing and sloping floors. It is a beautiful home and I want it to last well past me so I will take care of it.
